Grey leather, slight sheen, and honestly it doesn’t look like much else out there. Rick Owens took the standard leather jacket idea and bent it a little — less biker jacket, more sculpture you can wear.

Design

The collar’s the first thing you notice. Stands up tall, funnel-style, gives the whole thing a sharper edge than a normal leather jacket. Zip runs off-center instead of straight down the middle small detail, but it’s very Owens. Fit stays close to the body, not tight though, more like it wants you to layer under it. Zip cuffs at the wrists. Side pockets. Nothing extra. The cut does the talking here, not the hardware.

How It Wears

This isn’t a baggy, throw-it-on-and Rick Owens Jacket. Sits closer to the body, almost tailored. Works best over something slim a plain tee, thin knit, whatever you’ve got. If you already like Owens’ weird, off-balance take on menswear, this one slots right in.

Why Bother

Runway pieces like this don’t show up often. And the leather’s solid feels like it’ll hold up, not fall apart after one winter. Grey sounds plain on paper but it’s not, really. Goes with black, goes with most neutrals, doesn’t fight for attention the way a lot of “statement” jackets do.

Care

Keep it dry. Keep it out of direct sun when you can. Hit it with a leather conditioner every once in a while so it doesn’t dry out or crack over time.
