It’s a black tee with a strange hooded figure printed down the front in a kind of chrome silver. The sort of thing that looks pulled from an old horror film reel. One of those Rick Owens pieces that doesn’t need much explaining once you’ve got it on.

Why the Gimp Shirt Stands Out

Most graphic tees are an afterthought a picture slapped onto a plain shirt and called a day. The shirt underneath the print follows the same build as everything else Rick Owens. It makes an elongated body, a longer hem in back, a raised seam. None of it’s there for decoration.

About That Print

The figure zips up the middle, with small grommets circling the hood. It’s printed in a metallic finish that shifts as light hits it. Large, centered, running from just under the collar down past the chest you’re not squinting to figure out what it is.

The Fit, Roughly Speaking

Crew neck, no ribbing. Short, straight sleeves, nothing tapered about them. The side slits let the hem move instead of pulling tight. Honestly most of what makes the shape work. It hangs loose enough to sit right without turning baggy.

Wearing It

Works fine under a Rick Owens Jacket extra length in back keeps it from riding up when you move. Holds up just as well on its own with something simple, like drop-crotch shorts or slim black trousers.
