Overview

Rick Owens Fogpocket Shirt is taupe-grey, but not flat more like fog sitting over wet concrete, shifting a little depending on the light. Rick Owens didn’t reinvent the button-up here so much as knock it slightly off balance. The collar’s pointed, traditional even. Buttons run straight down like you’d expect. Then you get to the pockets and something’s different two of them at the chest, not quite symmetrical, built up with a boxy pleat that catches shadow strangely when you move.

Design Details

There’s pintuck stitching running down the front in thin vertical lines. Easy to miss honestly, unless you’re looking for it, but it adds a texture you can feel more than see. Sleeves stay fitted at the cuff no looseness there, no slouch. Where Owens really commits is the hem. It drops unevenly at the back, longer than it has any right to be, and that’s really the detail that sells the whole thing. Throw it over trousers and watch it move when you walk.

Styling & Aesthetic

Not a loud shirt. Could wear it stripped back just this drkshdw, nothing else or go full monochrome if you’re leaning into the darker side of the label. Works either way, honestly.
