First Look

It’s a black hoodie, sure, but the second you actually look at it you can tell it’s not going for basic. The body’s stretched out way past where a normal hoodie would stop, hood’s oversized, and then there’s these two long off-white strings just hanging down the front honestly that’s the first thing your eye goes to against all that black.

The Details

Hood & Strings

Hood’s got some room to it, ribbed on the inside. The drawstrings are longer than what you’d usually see, which I think is intentional, not some weird mistake.

Length & Hem

Overall it’s long. Like tunic-long, not hoodie-long. Hem isn’t even either, kind of a drop-tail thing with slits cut in on the sides so your legs aren’t fighting the fabric when you walk.

Sleeves

These stay long and end in ribbed cuffs, so even with everything else being loose and baggy, your wrists actually stay covered and snug.

Fit & Fabric

Fit

Loose. Dropped shoulders, roomy body, works on pretty much anyone regardless of gender. Sizing’s true to what Rick Owens usually does. I wouldn’t size up though, since it’s already cut big to begin with.

Material

It’s a cotton-blend jersey, mid-weight. Soft enough to wear against skin, holds its shape decently over time. You can layer it or just wear it by itself, depends on the weather really.

Styling It

• Black Boots or trousers under it if you want it all monochrome
• Layer a longer coat around it once it’s actually cold out
• Boots or simple sneakers don’t overdo the shoes, the hoodie’s already the statement piece

Bottom Line

Not gonna lie, in a flat product photo it kind of just looks like a hoodie. But once it’s on a person the whole thing clicks the length and those drawstrings are really carrying the design.
